Different Shades of Sunset.

 

In last few years I find myself passionate about clicking Nature at its best and cherishing those moments.I feel each time nature is giving some lesson trying to convey something,its just I need to understand different vision using best of my ability.

“Sunrise paints the sky with pinks and the sunset with peaches. Cool to warm. So is the progression from childhood to old age.”

I’m taking sunset pictures from long time,infact got whole collection of same with me,since get to see really beautiful images from my terrace during evening.From long time I wanted to convert these images into colour ,so I gave myself a challenge and tried my hands converting this image into paints,although I ‘m not into painting ,I took this opportunity to learn.

So here I goes trying image of sunset in different version-First is sketch pen,wax colour and last one is acrylic paint.

 

 

This is something which I got inspired from nature and wanted to try on canvas from long back,I’m not trained in any form of colouring…just trying to learn things as it comes.

Afternoon of Experimenting Minds.

 

I have been absent from my blog for long time,reason being little more occupied with home front and some health issue.And very frankly K did not want to do colouring related and craft related stuff,so it is perfectly fine at my place and decide & do what u enjoy as individual.For past one year blogging I did, activity with K because she enjoyed,creatively engaged.On that note first of special thanks to friends,family and readers who enjoyed my blog and encourage me during the journey.

Now back to our creative corner,today after long time K wanted to do something after coming back from school,came to me told “Mamma I want do something “.I was really happy to hear her words and thought what can we do,so thought something which she can relate going at school too.

K school got theme plans for kids every month like for current month Our Senses & body Organs and for young explorer they have experiment session with theme ’Sink and float’.I decided to dedicate this afternoon to satisfy curious mind,and do first time experiment session.

I was making lunch and told her that she can collect some of things meanwhile.She collected lots of material which include her box,stick,ice-cream stick,coins,nuts,stone.So I made list of things in order for her in sequential order and ready for experiment once I was done with lunch preparation.

 

I told her drop things one by one and observe whether particular object floats or sink to the bottom accordingly,she can write F(float) or S(Sink) in front of different objects.One by one with lot of excitement she enjoyed her experiment ,mentioned her observation as S and F….even she explained me if things are light it will float and if heavy it will sink which she learnt at school.

She had wonderful time experimenting and dropping different things in water,even got all drench in the water,changed her clothes after finishing the session.

I guess this little playful idea satisfy curiosity of little minds,so worth it!!

5+ ideas to have fun with Match sticks.

 

It just started as thing to kill the time one evening which was Sunday and my husband is working.So duo of MOM and daughter too got something occupying.

I

t started as thought of childhood days,when sometime we used experiment with match stick to create different shapes.I just made simple house with these short sticks,watching this K got interested and wanted to try her hands.

Activity was quite captivating,so we moved to next level to try our 5+ ideas-

Idea No 1 -Started counting with the sticks 1…2…3..4…5…K having lots of fun same time.

 

Idea 2-Next was writing our name s with sticks….

Idea 3-followed by making some shapes…

Idea 4-We were enjoying together so much,even k did not want me to answer phone…I agreed.

Every evening we are going out to have playtime where we playing football,throwing the ball,we have connected above creation with our evening playtime.Oh K introduced that rackets on the bottom of page,one of her favorite one.

 

Idea 5-To bring the session to closure K has made abstract using Match stick and some chana dal.

Travel Game for small kids-Mix geography with travel.

 

During the holidays Me and my little one was in search for some or other innovative ideas to keep our wandering souls busy.So during the one of lazy afternoon,K pulled me to play ‘TRAIN TRAIN’ game.She wanted me to be a passenger and her pretending to be Travel planner,Ticket checker,Engine driver and last guide.I enjoyed her version of train train very much.

We started our tour with making train with dinning chairs in a line.Then we made K little tour office,where I gave different colourful postcard which we been collecting through post crossing ,added attraction to travel in India book (A lonely planet travel survival kit,it’s a old edition).So Travel Office is all set ,train is also ready.We are leaving,Bye bye!!

I entered K’s travel office,and I was offered lot of travel opportunity from India to different countries in the world.So once I lock my travel destination,my little one takes me to touring,pretending to having international cuisine,enjoying sanctuary,waterfall or snow filled area according the place of choice.While doing same we enjoyed clicking different animals in the sanctuary,playing with the snow balls(we did same during Manali trip),Making snowman,enjoying under the waterfall.Oh my pretending and enjoying so much !!

We enjoyed playing same for  more than one hours,then we shifted our focus to make our own travelogue.Yes!!! when K heard the idea got excited to try the same.So our first hunt was to get some pictures which we extracted from the newspaper(otherwise taking printout from google search is also good option).

So next we made some travelogue categorized same as  green travel,food options,one into sanctuary plus oil refineries.Friends it was really fun for kids to know different places through playful method .

I have already thought to take this journey forward with some more planned tours.I would love to have your views for the same.

Happy Father’s Day-Scrap book with collection of Memories.

 

It was the lovely evening , when I came into this world…

And you held me, hugged me and said “Baby I’m your father!!”A great feeling you shared.

As the days moved,I started growing…You showed me the world from the top mountains of your shoulders.

As the days moved,I started growing..You made me swim through the corners and middle of pool.

Holding my fingers gently, when I started taking a first few steps,

Pushing my tricycle to give it start,making me peddle.

Listening first words of rhyme ’Johnny Johnny’ and clapping for me.

As the days moved ,I started growing…U made my each experience special …

Papa U are so very special to me”I LOVE YOU”!!

Happy Father’s Day.

 

On the occasion of  Father’s Day decided to make scrap book with collection of al the memories from Khwaish’s birth to memorable days giving surprise to dearest Father for being so special.He is overwhelmed and touched to see lovely surprise.

Gardening session–Extending our garden.

 

After  doing one session of gardening during the vacations,got little more confident to try our hands on the same again.I tell you friends ,it is  so much fun and productive activity to so with kids,so at least try it once!!

So this time to do it again,first I went through site Urban leaves of India which provides really great inputs for beginners.So here I pick up some ideas ,used one recycled container and purchased one new rectangular tray tub for planting some basic plants can be used in kitchen .We are all set to extend our garden.

For the gardening purpose,Khwaish and I  went together to collect some soil in the containers,even its is fun for us,specially K.She had done planting of basil seeds before,so this time she seems to expert on planting Fenugreek and coriander seeds.

So here we all set….

First put liitle soil in rectangular tray,poured some coriander seeds(Please  follow special instruction for planting coriander seeds)covered it with soil again.We are ready with little coriander garden.K watered the garden.

 

Once coriander project is done,we planted fenugreek in recycled bowl…

Now K is very excited to see the results,I made her understand that watering it and little sunlight everyday will make our hard work pay very soon.All excited now!!

Making Collage-Showcasing all POP collection.

 

We been making Plaster of Paris (POP)creations from long time,even before getting into blogging journey.Initially started using POP in the moulds which comes readily available with Funskool clay kits.I remember ,first time we made some beautiful creation from clay moulder,and coloured the same which includes butterfly,heart,teddy bear,circle and others.

After that first start, trying experimenting with making POP creation which includes independence day,Dino park ,Rainbow candle and lots more.This time we have decided to showcase our all collection of POP creations in one project.

Since these are quite old creations which we been making since long time and even using as pretend to play purpose,so become little dull in color.So decided to fresh paint our creations.

So first applying fresh paints to our creations,making them bright and beautiful…

 

Once we were done with making their look fresh ,got one cover of gift box and pasted white sheet inside the same.And then our final job,pasted all the creation one by one in column and rows using fevicol.

And lastly made partition using glitter glue.

This is the final outcome.Our collage of POP in bright colour.
